Methods used to Mould our Urethane Products:
Open Cast Moulding
We specialise in Open Cast Moulding, where liquid polyurethane (polymer and curative agents) is premixed and poured into an open cavity of a mould, and placed in an oven or on a heated table. After the parts are partially cured, they are demoulded and moved to a secondary post-cure oven.
Low Pressure Injection Moulding
We also do Low Pressure Injection Moulding, where liquid polyurethane (polymer and curative) is premixed and injected into a closed mould that is fastened together (with bleed gates/vents which allow air to escape out of the mould in the injection process). Hereafter the parts are demoulded and moved to a secondary post-cure oven.
